During the preparation of this pamphlet I have felt rather like a David up against a powerful, ruthless, multi-million pound Goliath - for over a decade the media, government officials, church leaders, councillors and judges have expressed alarm and concern about Bugbrooke's activities. Yet despite promises of 'probes' and 'investigations' there is little evidence that anything has been done.

I regret that I have been constrained from publishing details of my own experiences in Bugbrooke as a loved one who is still a member may suffer reprisals. However when I have confided my experiences, all have expressed horror and amazement that such things can happen and should be allowed to continue unchallenged.

Will you join with us in challenging activities which deny individuals' basic human rights. Will you resolve with us not to be satisfied with the arguments of men whose excuses are blatantly contradicted by the evidence of hearts broken, lives destroyed, and many who daily struggle to piece together shattered lives, fighting to regain trust in human kind and for the assurance of God's love, while members' families and ex-members wait, hoping praying for the eventual freedom of people we love.
